We are seeking highly motivated individuals with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills who are interested in working at the intersection of genetics, neuroscience, environmental health, and psychiatry. We value interdisciplinary team science and work to cultivate a welcoming lab environment, where intellectual curiosity and the joy of discovery take center stage.

The Shen Lab is currently looking for a POSTDOCTORAL SCHOLAR to lead a project investigating genetic risk factors associated with substance use disorders and comorbid psychiatric disorders, using iPSC-derived brain cell types. This project is ideal for researchers seeking to gain experience with translational neuroscience, mentorship of other trainees, and cross-disciplinary collaborations. Prior experience with microscopy, iPSC culture, electrophysiology/multielectrode arrays, genomics, and/or machine learning is highly desirable but not required.
