Our lab is interested in basic mechanisms, clinical translation, and technology development. We are open to new ideas, perspectives, models, and methodologies, and we seek to tailor the training environment to the individual’s interests, strengths, and areas of growth.
Current/emerging research areas of the lab include:
- Spatial mapping of selenium and other elements in Huntington's and other neurodegenerative conditions
- Epitranscriptomics in brain development and neuropsychiatric disorders
- Developing biosensors for studying neurobiological mechanisms
- Medications in bipolar disorder and schizophrenia
- Effects of environmental toxicants in neurodevelopmental disorders
- Molecular and cellular subtyping of comorbid substance use and psychiatric disorders
